The surveys can be about anything, absolutely anything; food, cars, clothes, brands, shops, health, money, pets, holidays, films, music, toys, family relationships, family activities etc.
You will be warned before taking the survey if the survey has a topic that you may find uncomfortable.

Usually anyone, unless the survey site is for people with particular occupations or clearly stated for particular people. People who are students, teenagers, mum, dads, pensioners, anyone else you can think of. The survey companies like to have people from all sorts of backgrounds and all walks of life.

You can get paid in high street vouchers, cash via PayPal, cheques, nectar points, ipoints and donations to charities. Each survey website should state very clearly how you get paid and when.

No, you don’t need any special skills. The surveys are usually very easy to fill in with questions usually answered by clicking on boxes (tick box/select box questions), clicking on images and clicking in a text box then typing in a short answer. They usually have instructions throughout.
It is useful to have working speakers connected to you computer because a lot of surveys tend to have movie clips and adverts which you need to be able to hear.

The quick quick guide to surveys is: you sign up, you get emailed survey invites, you click on links in invites taking you to surveys or you go to your accounts on the websites, you fill in surveys, check how much money/points you have earned, when you have earned enough (how much depends on website) you request payment/voucher.
Each website has very clear instructions. Some survey sites don’t send you invites, you have to regularly sign into you account to see if they have new surveys there.
The survey websites that I have listed on the next page have very strict guidelines that they have to follow to keep your information safe. All the information you give out is confidential. If you are particularly concerned, it is a good idea to read each survey website’s FAQs (frequently asked questions section) and their terms and conditions to get a full understanding of their policies. I have only listed websites which have good reviews from several different review sites and most of them I am a member of myself (and for most have been a member of for a few years).

Yes, sometimes if you get lucky you get to test free products at home. This can be quite good fun and they usually pay you quite generously for trying out these products then filling in a survey about what you think after a certain length of time. They will send out the product to you without you having to pay postage and you usually get to keep the product after testing.

You need an email address to sign up with so that you can be sent survey invitations. I recommend that you set up an email address specifically for surveys. It just makes it a lot easier to keep organised. Also some websites send spam, so at least your normal email account will not get affected. I recommend a free email address like hotmail, yahoo and Gmail.

Unfortunately, you can’t all the time. Sometimes when you start to fill in a survey, after you have given particular information about yourself, you will get screened out. This is because the survey sites sometimes need information from specific people, like people that live in a particular area, or people with a particular item in their household or people that use a particular bank etc. Some surveys will still pay you a little though for starting the survey. It can be very frustrating being screened out, especially if you have filled in ten minutes of information already, but it happens to everyone so do not worry about it and just move onto the next survey.
Also sometimes there is only a limited amount of people that can fill in the survey, so sometimes you have to be quick to make sure you are not too late.

No! You do not have to fill in every survey you are invited to. The survey websites understand that sometimes you just don’t have the time or want to. I often don’t do surveys which I feel are too long or don’t pay me enough.

Once you have chosen which survey websites you would like to join, it is usually very easy to sign up. I have put details of decent survey sites that you may be interested in on the next page, for each survey website I have put a link there that you can click on to take you straight to the signing up or home page.
Most survey sites require you to fill in a survey to sign up to get a bit of information about you. Sometime they can take a few minutes, other times it can take what seems like forever! But apparently the more information you give them, the more relevant surveys they can send to you.

Usernames and Passwords
It is a good idea to keep a record somewhere of which survey websites you have signed up for and what username/ passwords you have chosen or been given to get into your account. I have also found it is useful to make a note of whether each survey website is worth logging into daily for survey invites because some don’t send invites.
If you are very organised, the websites that you need to sign into daily to check for surveys, could be added onto your favourites list in your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox ect). This is a way to make sure it is easy to check these websites frequently for surveys, increasing chances of earning more.

Keep Your Member Profile Up to Date
Most survey websites get you to sign in using your username and password that you have chosen. Once you are signed in, you have access to information about what surveys are available, which ones you’ve taken, how much you have earned, their reward requests and your profile. Your profile has all the information about you and survey websites often use this information when deciding who to send survey invites to. You need to make sure you profile for each survey website is completely filled in and up to date.
Get Your Cash/ Vouchers as Soon as you reach the Website’s Threshold
Each survey website has a payment threshold to meet before you can get rewarded. For example you might need to get at least 1000 points before requesting payment. The best survey websites are those with a low threshold, so that you don’t have your earned money lying around with the potential of getting lost if something happens to the website. That is also why you should request payment as soon as you reach the threshold.
Free Survey Websites
Only ever join survey websites that are free to join. This means you have nothing to lose.
