Don't waste dog food by overfeeding your dog

Dried dog food is usually cheaper than wet/tinned dog food.

Work out how much dog food your dog should be getting on a daily basis and stick to it!

Don't overfeed your dog. Overweight dogs are more likely to get seriously ill.

If you feed your dog lots of treats, make sure you reduce their main meals so you don't over feed them.

Don't forget to look out for dog food coupons on the back of packaging as well as online. Save them in a safe place for when you can use them.

Look out for bulk buy deals on dog food, especially if you have the room to store it.

Invest in a large container to put your dog food in to help keep it fresh for longer. You can then buy large quantities of food at a time usually saving some money.

Order from online pet shops with a friend to share the delivery cost.

A cheap summer treat for your dog is to make a big ice cube with bits of food in it. You can use small plastic tubs instead of ice cube trays.
